Your two day experience in one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful hillsteads begins with a pick up at your hotel in Colombo or Bentota. Your private car, with your driver guide, will take you to Nuawara Eliya. As it's a very early drive, you may want to opt for some breakfast on the way. By the time you reach Nuwara Eliya itself, your first destination will be to the Ramboda Waterfalls. This incredible waterfall, 11th highest in the country and one of the most beautiful is both a great view and an opportunity to jump in and cool off. Upon returning to town, you can have a lunch break to try the local cuisine, before you check into your Nuwara Eliya hotel accommodations. Then it's time to see the city and admire the region's offerings, such as the Hagkala Botanical Gardens. This immense garden, featuring over 10,000 species of flora, is a true testament to the prolific subtropical climates of the country. At Gregory Lake, you'll be able to take in the tranquility and majesty of its natural beauty, along with an option to take a boat ride or just relax at the shore. The rest of the evening is free for your to enjoy, before you check out of your hotel the next day to see a little spiritual culture. At the Seetha Amman temple and the Rama Sita Temple, you'll learn of local history and religious historical facts. Your next stop is at the Mackwood Labookellie Tea Factory, where you'll see the local method of tea production along with seeing how conducive the region's climate is to the growth of tea. After a lunch break, you will then be taken back to your hotel back in Colombo/Bentota.
